About

One of the memories I have from when I was a child is being given a Mickey Mouse watch. Unfortunately I took that mouse apart and couldn't put it back together. That should have been a hint as to what I would be doing with my future.

I get immense joy from learning how things work and fixing them. If something has wires and buttons, I'm interested in it. At a young age growing up in the Caribbean, I'd help my father fix and rebuild car engines. I have an affinity for tools of all kinds and my collection keeps growing. I have mechanic tools, electrical tools, construction tools and lots of kitchen gadgets. As you visit my site you will see posts about many of the tools and gadgets I love. Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to respond.

I am a self-taught IT support professional working in a field I genuinely love. My IT career started with a job doing on-call technical support for a small company with commercial and residential clients.  Now I work in IT for a financial company as an Application Analyst, thought my title doesn't convey all the aspects of my job. I most enjoy fixing problems as they arise using skills have learned over the years. The IT field has been ever changing with new things to learn all the time. My love of learning means that I am always open to a new way of doing things.

I get a really great feeling of accomplishment when I diagnose and fix a problem and I don't think I'd be happy not being hands on with customers and brainstorming with my peers. I'm looking forward to continuing my role with a bit more added responsibility in the decision making processes. I've enrolled here at Ashford for the purpose of finishing what I started many years ago.
